We are vessels into which the world flows

We, meaning, not human beings, but all conscious entities within the cosmos. Every conscious entity serves the same purpose, on a different scale.
Are, meaning, in this moment, immediately, functionally and in reality, not in concept or abstraction.
Vessels, meaning, containers, receptacles, receiving apparatuses. Consciousness itself is what forms the vessel, not the bodies which make it possible.
Into which, meaning, within, in essence. The inner state of consciousness, the sacred and intimate relationship of consciousness with itself, rather than its relationship with outer forces.
The world, meaning,  all objects, events, circumstances and conditions. The cosmos itself. Every impression encountered by a conscious entity.
Flows, meaning, acting in an unrestricted and unending stream. The image of water connotates the desire of God to know himself.
The arising of the material world in the note Re (in the yogic system of chakras, earth) automatically gives rise to the note Mi, desire (in the yogic system of chakras, water.)
Immediately following the act of creation, God desires to know Himself. This gives rise to the cycle of consciousness which completes itself through the law of octaves.
